  1. Mark, your Q&A’s are among the best, because you do pick the fascinating questions and do a nice job explaining your repose. I am always interested in the choices you make to about what to cover and what to skip. Your interest in culture and its development in parallel with the political and social changes brings a new insight to the world around. I can’t wait to hear your take on the changes to the world AFTER World War II. (Sometimes, I imagine a discussion between you and Mike Duncan about what drove the political chances in the 20th century. The podcast will be missing a shining start with you finish this podcast. i am looking forward to you novel.

  2. Dear Mark,

I promised myself I would write a comment when I finally got up-to-date listening to The History of the Twentieth Century, and here I go. Today I listened to Question Time III, just days after it was released and, lowe and behold, for the first time in 5 years I have no more episodes to listen too and have to wait for the new one 😉

This episode seemed like the perfect one with which to get caught up, as in your answers you perfectly summarise what it is I love about your presentation of history. I can also relate to the other listener experiences you report. I started listening to the podcast during the depths of the coving pandemic and it helped me though some hard times. Since then, as it seems our modern world is ricocheting from one history making event to another, your detailed yet personal reporting of our recent history helps me keep things in perspective and reminds me of how much agency we have in shaping the future.

Thank you so much and I looking forward to many more hours of listening as we approach the second half of the Century!

    James
