The dramatic collapse of the German Army on the Western Front in August 1944 had some speculating the war might end by Christmas.
But that didn’t happen. The Germans were able to rebuild their defensive line at the western border of Germany, along what the Germans called Westwall and the Allies called The Siegfried Line.

Hello I just want to say I’ve been very much enjoying this podcast I’ve gone back to watch some of the more earlier episodes and I very much enjoyed them I get it it feels like I’m listening to a a wonderful 2000s/1990s History channels TV series similar to ones I used to listen to with my family back during that era.
