  1. Great episode!

I’m glad you mentioned the detailed series on the Paris Peace Conference in When Diplomacy Fails by Zack Twamley (he’s become Dr. Twamley in the six years since you posted this episode). Zack does a deep dive into the diplomacy (as well as significant amount of background content) behind the conference. His work is masterful! In the last year-and-a-half, Zack completed a long series on the July Crisis (actually, this was his second series on this topic; the first series was in 2014, on the centennial of the events leading up to the outbreak of WWI) and then announced his “retirement” from active podcasting. He has gotten a real job and also announced that his first child was on its way (that was last summer or fall).

So, I have six years’ worth of History of the Twentieth Century to go… that will keep me busy. I just love this podcast. Thank you so much!
